Ever Care support workers are fully trained and accredited to work with children aged 4–17. We follow trauma-informed processes, undertake de-escalation training, and understand the importance of enrichment and education alongside care. We support independence in small ways, for example, by encouraging children to feed or dress themselves, giving them choice and the power to make decisions.

Our diverse team includes men, women, and a variety of ethnic backgrounds, all fluent in English and many able to speak more than one language. Carers are gentle, they work in small teams with individual clients, and we introduce new staff gradually to build trust. We aim to provide a nurturing environment where children feel safe to express their needs and feelings, and experience a sense of belonging. That includes respecting and valued different cultural and religious backgrounds.

Johnny’s Story
We currently support many children within our setting who have been unable to settle and achieve at school. They have worked with other agencies but haven’t got the kind of nurturing support they needed.
Johnny is thriving with Ever Care. A child who had limited vocabulary and was constantly dysregulated is now in a calm state; ready to learn, to grow and to interact with his support staff.
He loves to cook, to play and to make decisions about how he wants his day to go. He is in an environment that meets his needs, and he has grown and flourished with the support of Ever Care staff.
What to expect
When someone contacts us to request support, we do everything we can to collect information about the proposed client. We contact schools, other professionals and close family to understand and tailor-make a package of care that’s suitable, sustainable and fit for the longer term.
We pride ourselves in treating each individual as a person in their own right, with requirements, needs, and expectations that we strive to fulfil. Once strong foundations have formed, we will work with all the agencies to plan and coordinate a package or support that suits the needs of the young person.
Residential respite
It’s just as important to support families as it is to care for their children. We offer residential respite to give children a home from home and their families a break from caregiving. Children can play, explore and rest in a safe, nurturing, clean, and stimulating environment where they can thrive, reach their full potential and feel a sense of belonging.
The home is situated in a well-established, thriving community with good access to local schools, parks, shops, community centres and public transport links.
We’re equipped to cater to a broad range of needs and have a sensory room, so no one feels overwhelmed. Our team provides gentle, joined-up care to help children take the next steps, whether that’s building their confidence, socialising, learning new skills, or taking the next steps on their education pathway.
Reverse respite
Often, children feel most comfortable in their own home environment. We offer reverse respite so families can have time away and a well-earned rest whilst we support children and young people in their own homes.
This is a great opportunity for families to get some valuable time away, and for children to stay where they are safe in their own home.
